Could you be an Israelite and not know it?
"Here's a paradox a most ingenious paradox an anthropological fact many Christians may have much more Hebrew-Israelite blood in their veins than most of their Jewish neighbors." (1)
Alfred M. Lilienthal

Could this possibly be so? If so it would mean that the majority of Christendom and the rest of society has misidentified the people most prominent in the Bible. If Israel has been misidentified there is no doubt that major errors in doctrinal interpretation and application of biblical prophecy have been made! Take a look at a truly remarkable study of Assyrian tablets that reveal the fate of the Lost Tribes of Israel. This is the book considered by most to be Capt's finest of all his vast and excellent literary achievements!

An archaeological study of the origin and history of the so-called "Lost Tribes of Israel" and the Assyrian tablets that reveal the fate of these same people chosen by God to be the "light-bearers" to the nations. When clay cuneiform tablets were found in the excavations of the Assyrian Royal Library of Ashurbanipal in ancient Nineveh their relevance to the nation of Israel was overlooked at the time. This was undoubtedly because they were in complete disorder and among hundreds of miscellaneous text dealing with many matters of State. Contributing to this situation was the fact that the Assyrians called the Israelites by other names during their captivity.

Some of the tablets found were dated around 707 B.C. and reveal the fate of the Israelites as they escaped from the land of their captivity and "disappeared" into the hinterland of Europe. These tablets form the "Missing Links" that enable us to identify the modern-day descendants of the "Lost Tribes of Israel". In doing so we increase our knowledge of Bible history and experience a dramatic revision of our preconceived ideas of Bible prophecy.

In this authoritative book the author has attempted no more than a brief review of the origin and history of the Israelites; a survey of the Assyrian inscriptions and cuneiform tablets that record the deportations of Israel as related to Biblical and secular history; their sojourn in captivity and a synopsis of their migrations to their new homelands (British Isles, France, Germany, Scandinavia, Canada, America, etc.). "Missing Links" is the book that opened the eyes of thousands of Christians (Baptist , Methodist, Catholic, Pentecostal, Presbyterian, Church of Christ, and more) to their Israelite heritage and how that one single discovery has changed the way they now view all Bible doctrine and prophecy!

To anyone interested in the origins of the Welsh or in the fate of the ten lost tribes of the Israelites, this book is a treasure trove of historical information. The tablets refer to the Israelites as the Kumri. The welsh for the Welsh is Cymru - pronounced kumri - and Capt lists words which are the same in both languages. The evidence he provides is academically grounded and indisputable. Diolch yn fawr!

MISSING LINKS DISCOVERED IN ASSYRIAN TABLETS Lost Tribes edition by E Raymond Capt Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews

Although this book purports to be a scholarly investigation of the lost tribes of Israel and their relation to Assyrian studies, there are odds bits and pieces in here that lead me to believe that the author has a strange, distorted agenda. Just one example On page 36 he claims that the Semites, from intermarrying with the Hittites, acquired the so-called "Jewish nose" and he quotes the Haddon-Hammond's Library World Atlas from 1954 to support this claim! If he believes this strange nugget (and what exactly is a "Jewish nose" and how is it different from the one on Capt's face?), what other distortions does he commit?
This book by E.Raymond Capt brings to light some archaeological discoveries that explain what happened to the lost tribes of Israel.

"The so-called 'lost tribes of Israel' were never really lost. They only lost their identity during their captivity in Assyria." -from the author.

The "missing links" in this book are specifically Assyrian inscriptions and cuneiform tablets.According to the annals of Sargon II,he displaced Samaria's citizens(Part of the Kingdom of Israel)with another people.

"Assyrian artists have given us graphic pictures(inscribed on wall palques)of the subjection of the cities of the Israelites and the deportation of the inhabitants to captivity in Assyria."-from the Preface of the book.

Another point of interest is the pre-captivity migrations of Israel. Not all of their travels were associated with captivity.

The author details names used by the lost tribes and their movements.

He also looks into languages-Welsh,Hebrew,English,and Assyrian.

Mr.Capt writes about the Behistun Rock and the work of Henry C. Rawlinson.

This is an excellent book for discovering languages, names, places, and the history of the lost tribes!
For years, many people read the Bible's prophecies about the future of the descendants of each of Jacob's twelve sons, looked at subsequent history and current events and concluded these prophecies had to be being fulfilled by the peoples of Northwestern Europe, and particularly Britain and the United States. Details of how we got here from there, however, have been hard to find in secular history and archaeology until books like "The Missing Links" and others came out in the last few decades.

Archaeologist Raymond Capt has done a fantastic service, and this book deserves far wider recognition by historians and the media than it has gotten. The proof of what happened to these people has been found literally "written in stone!" Books like Yair Davidi's "Ephraim," E.O. Gordon's "Prehistoric London," Helene Koppejan's "Zebulun--The Netherlands, A Tribe of Israel," J.C. Gawler's "Dan, the Pioneer of Israel," and Steven Collins's "The Lost Ten Tribes of Israel...Found," add to Capt's "Missing Links" so much evidence as to leave no excuse for the willingly ignorant to continue denouncing (misnamed) "British Israelism" as a fantasy or fraud. The bulk of independently unearthed evidence that the descendants of the Northern Kingdom of Israel did indeed end up in Northwestern Europe and the British Isles is too great to be any longer dismissed -- but probably will continue to be by those who simply don't want to believe it.
Every Christian should read this book. It will open their eyes as never before.
thanks!
I hope all of Capt's books goes kindle and Adam Rutherford's books their nice on the iPad format Thank you
Those who insist on believing the Northern 10 tribes of Israel somehow "rejoined the Jews," when Nehemiah tells us the only three tribes that came back to Judea were the same three that went to Babylon (130 years AFTER the northern tribes were taken to Assyria), need to read what the deciphered tablets from the Library of Ashurbanipal, found at the archaeological site of ancient Nineveh, tell us. Known to the Assyrians as the "house of Omri" (Ahab's father), the tribes had been placed in locations within the Assyrian Empire. From there, we're told where they went and what they did -- and the subsequent role they played in Assyrian political and military history until the fall of the empire in 608 BCE.

After the fall of Assyria, both the tribes and their Assyrian neighbors moved north and west. Author Raymond Capt shows from a combination of archaeology and written history of the time, where they went, the names they were known by, and where they have ended up. If you need documented secular history to convince you of where the rest of Israel is today, this volume is an excellent place to start.
